IDignity Orlando - Event Info

Orlando Union Rescue Mission - 410 W Central Blvd, Orlando FL

Registering: All volunteers wanting to serve at an event are required to register online via http://www.idignity.org/volunteer.  At the event, all volunteers will be provided an assignment, t-shirt, light breakfast, and an ample lunch.  The event flyer and parking map are available at http://www.idignity.org/orlando. If you have registered before, then you only need to enter your name, email address, event date and service time-frame.  Please also update any info that has changed since you last registered.  We will try to place you at your prior assignment, unless you let us know that you would prefer a different assignment. 

Volunteering: Volunteers are asked to be at the event by 7:00 AM and serve until 4:00 PM. Orientation and training are from 7:00 - 8:00 AM. This orientation and training is strongly encouraged for first time volunteers. Veteran volunteers are also asked to attend as their assignments and/or directions may have changed. If you cannot serve the entire day, then specify what time-frame you are available, preferably either 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. 

Parking: Short-term parking is available under I-4 for $1 per hour.  Long-term parking is available in the garage at 150 S. Hughey Ave for $5, but you must obtain a voucher at check-in before leaving the event.  Please note that the parking lot adjacent to OURM is reserved for the handicapped or elderly volunteers and clients. It is also for those that need to unload event equipment.  Parking on Central Blvd. is strictly enforced, please note posted signs designating 2 or 3-hour parking.

Arriving: Wear comfortable clothes, you will be provided an IDignity t-shirt.  Be prepared to serve outside in the elements, unless unable. Enter the event through the parking lot adjacent to the Rescue Mission.  Volunteer Check-in is through the first door on your left. 

Planning: IDignity Orlando is currently scheduled for events every 3rd Thursday in 2011.  It is necessary to register for each event separately.  Thank you for your ongoing support of IDignity and our clients.

IDignity Deland - Event Info

First Baptist Church of Deland - 725 N. Woodland Blvd, Deland FL
