
IDignity Orlando has volunteer opportunities on the third Thursday of each month at our monthly Client Services Events which are hosted at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission (410 W Central Blvd, Orlando).
Volunteers are supplied an IDignity t-shirt, a light breakfast and a full lunch. In order to place you in the best volunteer position, the volunteer registration form (see end of page) provides an overview of positions and allows you to indicate preferences for service. For subsequent volunteer registrations, you need only enter your name, email, phone, event date and shift. If you are unable to volunteer but would like to learn more about our ministry, please email info@idignity.org to request a tour.
After you complete the form below, you will receive an automated confirmation email. The week of your selected event a reminder email will be sent along with information about the day of the event, including parking information. If you have any questions, please contact the IDignity Orlando Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@idignity.org or 407-792-1374, press 4, then 11.
Registering: All volunteers wanting to serve at an event are required to register online by filling out the form at the bottom of this page. At the event, all volunteers will be provided an assignment, t-shirt, light breakfast, and an ample lunch. The event flyer and map are available here. If you have registered before, then you only need to enter your name, email, phone number, event date and service time-frame. Please also update any info that has changed since you last registered. We will try to place you at your prior assignment, unless you let us know that you would prefer a different assignment.
Volunteering: Volunteers are asked to be at the event by 8:00 AM and serve until 4:00 PM. Orientation and training are from 8:00 - 9:00 AM. This orientation and training is strongly encouraged for first time volunteers. Veteran volunteers are also asked to attend as their assignments and/or directions may have changed. If you cannot serve the entire day, then specify what time-frame you are available, preferably either 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Parking: Ample free parking is available at the event site.
Arriving: Wear comfortable clothes, you will be provided an IDignity t-shirt. Be prepared to serve outside in the elements, unless unable. Upon arrival proceed to the Check-in table to receive your assignment.
